The race distance is 105 km, elevation gain +4120 m.

Time limit  is 33 hrs.

The route is as follows: The starting point is near the bridge across the Katun` river, then → the bridge across the Kucherla river → Kuzuyak pass (elevation 1516 m.) → up the Akkem river to the Akkem Lake →around the Akkem Lake (optional: in case of high water - along the lake up to the church) -   Kara-Turek pass (elevation  3060 m.) → Kucherla lake → down the Kucherla river → the bridge over the Kucherla river → finish near the bridge across the Katun` river.

The route passes through rough terrain at the altitude of 850 m through 3060 m. Along the trail you can expect heaps of fallen trees, stone runs, marshes, log crossings and fords, and chances are, you will get snow on Kara-Turek pass.

Refreshment & Food stations / Check points are placed at the following locations:

  • at the 18th km along the route — the camp "3 Birches" (drinks, cookies, and fruit will be provided)

  • at the 40th km, on the Akkem Lake (with soup, tea, cookies, and dried fruit)

  • at the 54th km, on the Kara-Turek pass (tea, candies)

  • at the 64th km, on the Kucherla Lake (soup, tea, cookies, and dried fruit)

  • at the 93rd km in the Elan` area (chicken broth, tea, cookies, and fruit).

In order to continue on to the Kara-Turek pass participants have to leave the refreshment zone on the lake Akkem (the 40th km of the route) by 16:00 on July1st. All those who are late will not be allowed to go up to the pass, and will be considered disqualified. They will then have to go back to the start, in the opposite direction of the race. There is a refreshment zone where you can rest and sleep on the lake Kucherla. You should leave that zone by 5:00 a.m. on the 2nd of July.

 The race is certified by ITRA and UTMB, and awarded with 3 old points / 5 new points.
